Mehiläispesien karhunkarkotin / Bear frightener for beehives
Joka vuosi mehiläispesiä heikkenee tai tuhoutuu karhujen ja muiden tuholaisten toimesta. Tähän on pyritty hakemaan erilaisia ratkaisuja automaation avustuksella. Tässä osiossa tiedustellaan kiinnostusta kokeilemaan "karhunpelätintä", joka tunnistaa karhut 360 asteen infrapunakeilojen avustuksella ja lähettää haju-, ääni- ja valopelätteen ilmoille. Laite osaa myös lähettää hälytyksen mehiläisenhoitajalle tekstiviestitse kaikista yli 16 kg tunkeilijoista mehiläispesillä. Kaikki kokemukset laitteesta tänne. Every year beehives are weakened or destroyed by bears, other pests and diseases. There are some automated systems attempting to solve this problem. In this section, all beekeepers are invited in discussion about their interests to try out a "bear frightener" that detects bears by a 360-degree infrared beam and deters them by smell, sound and bright light. The device will also alert the beekeeper with a text message whenever something larger than 16 kg appears near the beehives. All experiences about this device are collected here. In future, the module is intended to be integrated with the beehive data collection system.
